We the Department of B.Com. Financial Markets and Financial Markets Association had organized a One Day Inter-collegiate National Symposium on the theme “Recent Trends in Securities Markets” on 26th July, 2019 in which 72 students from SIES College, Yashwantrao College, Western College, Pillai HOC College, KLE College and DVS College of Arts, Commerce & Science participated. The symposium provided an insight of recent developments evolved in securities markets. The symposium was addressed by the following resource persons:

Department of B.Com. Financial Markets organized a One Day Study Tour to National Institute of Securities Markets, Vashi on 15th July, 2019 for S.Y.B.Com. financial markets students. 25 students participated along with the teaching faculty Mrs. Prajakta Bapat where NiSM had organized a Workshop on Building Careers in Capital Markets. The students were guided about the career options available in capital markets and they also provided demo live market session where the students had hands-on experience of trading in the stock market.

The Department of B.Com. Financial Markets had organized Alumni Guest Lecture on 22nd June, 2019 Saturday, for S.Y.B.Com. Financial Markets on the topic “Future Prospects in Financial Markets” by Mr. Ashutosh Chavan – Deputy Manager, HDFC Bank, Panvel Branch. He provided the students insights on the different career options and the competitive exams available in the area of financial markets like Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Management, Chartered Wealth Manager, NSE’s Certified Courses, Mutual Fund Distributor, Banking Professional, NISM Certification’s, etc. He also guided the students’ how to appear for entrance exams and after getting the certification which are the areas for pursuing a job.

Company in Vashi as a Research Analyst, were invited to orient F.Y. & S.Y.B.Com.
