On 3rd February, 2020 Bottle Gardening activity was held. The members of the Nature’s Club showed their active participation towards the bottle gardening. Around 10 members participated in the activity. The event begin with the division of members into groups and each group was assigned specific work such as cutting the bottles and wires, soil replacing, hanging bottles etc. After cutting the bottles and filling soil in it various plants such as money plants, etc were placed in bottles. The structured bottle gardening gives a beautiful look to the Pillai College Campus.
On 23rd January, 2020 ‘Best out of waste’ competition was successfully held by the members of Nature’s Club. The participants showed their active participation towards the same. This event was successful with 9 participants with the aim to make something best from waste material. Every participants showed different creativity namely doll made with a bottle, paper flower vase, a pen stand with full of waste pens etc. And also exhibition of the same was conducted.
A session was arranged on Wildlife and Conservation on 20th September, 2019 for Nature club’s members. Wildlife plays an important role in balancing the environment and provides stability to different natural processes of nature. Resource person for same was Mr. Sudeep Athavale. The session ended with the Students agreement of implementing 4R’s in their life. These four R’s was on ‘Refuse-Reduce-Reuse-Recycle’ of each thing which we use in daily life to conserve environment. 37 students participated for the session.

The members of the Nature’s Club showed their active participation towards the bottle gardening. Around 25 members participated in the activity. The vertical bottle gardening gives a beautiful look to the Pillai Campus. The activity was successfully with the co-operation of each and every member.
An adventurous trekking activity was organised by the Nature club of Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Panvel on 1st October 2018 at Sondai Fort, Karjat.
The trek was guided by Mr. Dhanjay Madan from Nisarg Mitra,Panvel. The two hour trek had participants from 48 nature clubs, all indulging in various activities to understand the importance for preservation and conservation of environment. It was an effective and fun filled way to spread nature love among students.
Pillai College Of Arts Commerce And Science’s Nature Club organized an Event on 27th and 28th September 2018 where they drew paintings in the Panvel Railway Station Premises. This was the most appraised event by the local train commuters. In this event, the involvement of the Railway Station authorities was also observed. Various paintings with a theme of Swatchha Bharat were made by the members of the club to convey a message of cleanliness and keeping the Railway Premises clean.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is conducted all over India. As a part of this initiative various activities are conducted by Panvel Municipal Corporation. To contribute towards this social cause Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science and Pillai College of Architecture, New Panvel in association with Panvel Municipal Corporation conducted Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Padaghe Village and Rohinjan Village on 19th January, 2018. Under this drive wall paintings, skit performance and one to one interaction was done by students. It was organised by Mr. Jamir Lengrekar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner and Prof. Kiran Deshmukh, In-charge of Nature’s Club association of Pillai College. Prof. Tejashree Lakras, Prof. Shardul Buva, Prof. Dhaniya Vinish, Prof. Ruchika Bassi were the team members for successful conduct of event. 95 students from Pillai College participated in the event.
Under the event of ‘Railway Safety Week’ a session was arranged by Nature Club on 3rd December, 2016. Speakers for session were P.S.I. Mr. Chaskar and Constable Mr. Thombare who addressed the audience. Safety of women passengers, travelling on rooftop, doing stunts, what care we should take while travelling through trains was informed to the students.
Railway Safety Week was celebrated by Railway Police Force from 28th November, 2016 to 3rd December, 2016. Members of Nature Club performed a Skit on “How to travel in rains” on account of Railway Safety Week. Performance by members was done on 1st December, 2016. Commuters were made aware about the situations we come across while travelling through trains. The accidents which may happen due to negligence of passengers, illegal actions done by young students like crossing rail tracks, taking selfee on rail tracks, doing stunts were focused. The activity was appreciated by Head, RPF Mrs. Vibha Chavan.
