Staff Welfare Committee conducted yoga session on Saturday 1st October, (Tuesday) 2019 at 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in Old Canteen area for the Teaching and Non-teaching staff.
Mrs. Suvarna Anavkar gave a session on yoga, where she made teachers understand the importance of exercise and yoga, she conducted a practical session to make the staff aware of their importance of yoga. She also addressed the queries of the audience.
Staff welfare committee organized Diwali Celebration on 19th October (Saturday), 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Atruim for the Teaching and Non-teaching staff. Photo sessions and various Fun Activities along with refreshments were hosted.
Staff Welfare Committee conducted One Day Workshop on “How to fit in today’s time?” on Saturday, 6th October 2018, from 10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. in Conclave for the Teaching staff.
Mr. Tehsin Ratna from TR Fitness gave a session on fitness, where he made teachers understand the importance of exercise, nutrition and rest. He showed live demonstration of certain fitness equipment. He delivered tips to make the individual how to remain in the state of Wellness. He also addressed the queries of the audience.
Towards the end of the workshop, he conducted a practical session to make the staff aware of their physical capabilities. Certificates were distributed to all those who had attended.
Staff Welfare Cell of PCACS organised Health Check up Camp for teaching and non teaching staff on 4th March, 2017 in the old canteen area in association with Apollo Hospital, Nerul.
The following check ups were done:
- Random Blood Sugar
- Dental Screening
- Blood Pressure
- Height Weight BMI
- Lung function test
- free Doctor consultation
129 of total teaching and non teaching staff participated in the above camp.
IQAC and Faculty Development Cell hosted a One Day Workshop on “Innovative Techniques of Teaching” on 31st March, 2016. It was an inspirational event and a lot of thought provoking ideas were disseminated in the sessions addressed by Mr. Sanjay Rahate, Director, Get Set Go Training Consultancy Private Limited, Brand Consultant for SME Chamber, B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Certified NLP Practioner (U.S.A.), SME in Finance, Certified Yogacharya, Interpersonal Skill and Leadership Development Trainer (U.S.A.), Certified Sports Science and Conditional Fitness from IFA (U.S.A.), Diet and Nutrition Consultant from Nutrilite (U.S.A.), Certified Mind and Memory Trainer, M.B.A. in Business Development. This Workshop was attended by more than 70 participants from different colleges in Mumbai who found it extremely stimulating and full of new ideas.
A Session on “Voice Modulation for Effective Lecturership” was held on 1st April, 2015.
A health check up camp was organized for both teaching and non teaching staff members in association with Unicare Health Centre and Lions Club of Navi Mumbai Champions on 18/4/15. 146 staff members participated in the camp.
Children of support staff are given free-ships on an ongoing basis. There were four beneficiaries of freeship for this academic year.
Our credit society provides loan to non-teaching staff and grade IV employees at low rate of interest
During outstation industrial visits, grade IV employees are allowed to join in and their tickets and stay are sponsored by the college.
Research Forum, the research wing of M.E.S. organizes seminars and Workshops on various subjects which helps in updating knowledge.
Teachers on completion of Ph.D are felicitated by the management.
Faculty members are made aware about new arrivals in library by sending updates through emails.
College Gymkhana Committee arranges sports event such as carom, Table Tennis, cricket tournaments for non-teaching staff members.
Newspapers and magazines of regional language are made available in the library keeping in mind the interest of majority of non-teaching staff members.
Gymkhana facilities are also available to staff members as per their convenient timings.
Staff can avail of the computer and internet facilities and those who are interested in learning computer usage are helped by the I.T staff.
Every year faculty members are deputed for refresher and orientation courses.
Many faculty members were allowed to participate in workshops, seminars and paper presentations and expenses were beared by the management.

A Seminar on “Holistic Living” by Dr. Ranade was conducted for non teaching staff on 18th October, 2013.
