“Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, Munijan” Meeting at Mumbai University Campus, in Presence of Honarable C.M. of Maharashtra Shri. Devendra Fadnvis
N.S.S. Leader Mr. Nayan Koli had attended “Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, Munijan” meeting on 27th November, 2014 which was Maharashtra University New Initiative for Joint Action Now where Chief Minister of Maharashtra State, Honorable Shri. Devendra Fadanvis addressed the Kulgurus of various University’s of Maharastra, N.S.S. dignitaries, N.S.S. Programme Officers and N.S.S. volunteers present over their for imparting the strength of N.S.S. volunteers and college student for empowering Cleanliness campaign started by Honorable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan is a National Level Campaign by the Government of India to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country. The campaign was officially launched on 2nd October, 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi. The campaign is India’s biggest ever cleanliness drive and NSS Students of PCACS, New Panvel participated in this event in the College Campus.
NSS Unit of Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science, New Panvel organized “Tree Plantation Drive” at Seal Ashram, Vangani Village near New Panvel on 30th September, 2014. Seal Ashram is an NGO that rescues needy and helpless people from the streets and railway stations of Mumbai. They provide a platform for the youth to accomplish the mission of SEAL.
NSS Unit of Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science, New Panvel and Laxmi Eye Institute jointly organized a Rally on Eye Donation Awareness Rally Program on 28th September, 2014.
Management Association conducted Mobile Photography event on 17th September, 2014 based on theme “CAMPUS CLICKS”. 44 students participated and submitted their picture clicked within the college campus within the given time. The winner of the event was Dipesh Patel from S.Y. B.M.S. A and was awarded with certificate and cash price. All the participants were given certificates.
To provide a platform for students to show case their general writing skills and to give them the liberty to express their views on subject an Essay Writing Competition was conducted on 9th September, 2014 on “Role as an Indian citizen during the flood crises in Kashmir”. The essay topic was announced to the participants 10 minutes prior to commencement of the competition. The students were allowed to write in any one of the three languages (English / Hindi / Marathi). The competition witnessed students’ participants from all the streams.
