The Placement Cell organized a successful Interview Breakthrough Seminar on 17th August, 2024, exclusively for PCACS TY students who are members with TPC-PCACS. Mrs. Preeti Muley, Assistant Vice President of Merkle DGS was invited to give insights to the students on Interview Breakthrough Techniques.

The seminar was attended by the students of PCACS, It was facilitated by the Placement Cell coordinators along with the student body of TPC-PCACS.
Welcome Speech:
The Seminar started at 11:10 AM in the auditorium. Ms.Riya Bharadwaj, General Secretory of TPC-PCACS introduced and welcomed guest speaker Mrs. Preeti Muley on stage for enlightening students on the topic,‘Interview Breakthrough Techniques.’
1st Topic of the Session (Dream & Reality)
Ms. Muley highlighted the gap between student’s expectations and companies’ needs by asking students about their dream careers and challenging them to consider why a company should choose them. She used an analogy comparing phone choices to companies’ selection criteria, emphasizing the importance of creating value through knowledge, skills, and
experience.
2nd Topic of the Session (Create your value)
Ms. Muley introduced the concept of “T-shaped knowledge,” underscoring the importance of both depth and breadth of expertise. She urged students to understand why a recruiter should hire them, likening the interview process to a potluck where only desirable dishes (or candidates) are chosen.
3rd Topic of the Session (Interview Roadmap)
The steps for interview success stress the importance of thorough research and self-presentation. Candidates should deeply understand the company and role, develop a strong personal brand, and create a professional resume. Preparation involves researching industry trends and planning attire, while the interview day requires punctuality, enthusiasm, and honesty. Afterward, reflecting on performance and refining responses is key to continuous improvement.
Q&A Session
In the Q&A session, Ms. Muley advised students to briefly cover resume points in interviews and focus on detailed project discussions. She highlighted the value of extracurricular activities in enhancing resumes, using the placement cell’s event organization as an example. For choosing a niche, she suggested identifying activities one is passionate about and can do effortlessly.
Vote of Thanks and Felicitation
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Riya Bhardwaj, followed by a felicitation ceremony by Neha Ma’am and Sauhel Sir. The event ended with a group photograph at 12:15 PM, capturing the guest speaker, the Placement Cell members, and the students. The seminar was a resounding success, providing valuable insights into interview preparation and career building.
