Introduction
Orientation sessions were conducted by the Training and Placement Cell for the Second and third year students of PCACS. The purpose of the orientation was to provide comprehensive information and guidance to the students about the various aspects of the placement process and the role of the Placement Cell in assisting them with their future career endeavors.
Attendees
The orientation was attended by all second year and third year students of PCACS, It was facilitated by the Training and Placement Cell Head and coordinators along with key faculty members and representatives from the Placement Cell.
Agenda
The orientation covered the following key topics:
Introduction to Faculty Members: The session commenced with an introduction to the faculty members who play a crucial role in guiding and supporting the students throughout their academic journey.
Placement Cell Coordinators: The students were introduced to the members of the Placement Cell who are responsible for assisting them with the placement process and policies. The coordinators elaborated on their roles and how they would be available to address any placement or internship related queries.
Vision and Mission of Training and Placement Cell: The vision and mission of the Placement Cell were elucidated, emphasizing the commitment to bridge the gap between academics and industry, ensuring successful placements for all eligible students.
Placement Process: The step-by-step process of the placement program was explained in detail, right from registration to the final placement rounds.
Placement Policy and Objectives: The students were made aware of the college’s placement policy and objectives, emphasizing the fair and transparent approach adopted by the Placement Cell.
Registration for Placement Support: The procedure for registering with the Placement Cell to avail placement support and resources was outlined, with a strong emphasis on timely registration.
Eligibility Criteria for Placement Assistance: The eligibility criteria for availing placement assistance were clearly communicated to the students, ensuring a clear understanding of the requirements.
Rules and Regulations: The rules and regulations governing the placement process, including attendance, behaviour, and code of conduct during interviews, were presented to maintain professionalism and integrity.
<Essential Steps: The essential steps that students need to undertake to
prepare for placements were highlighted, such as resume building, mock interviews, and soft skill development.
<Recruitment Partners: A list of esteemed companies and organizations that have partnered with the college for recruitment purposes was shared, providing insights into the diverse opportunities available to the students.
Question and Answer Session: The session concluded with an interactive question and answer segment, where students could seek clarifications on any doubts or concerns they had regarding placements.
