The Placement Cell organized ‘The Lean Startup Methodology’ seminar on 18th October, 2024, exclusively for PCACS TY students who are registered with TPC. Mr. Amarnath Dwivedi, founder of Adtej guided the students regarding building a business with minimal resources.
The seminar was attended by the students of PCACS, It was facilitated by the Placement Cell coordinators along with the student body of TPC-PCACS.
Welcome Speech:
The Seminar started at 11:30 AM in the auditorium. Ms.Komal, member of TPC-PCACS introduced and welcomed guest speaker Mr. Amarnath Dwivedi on stage for enlightening students on the topic, ‘The Lean Startup Methodology.’
1st Topic of the Session (Journey and Career Insights)
Mr. Amarnath began by talking about his time at
Hindustan Unilever, where he worked in various capacities, describing what his role entailed and why he eventually left to pursue his own entrepreneurial goals. His desire for better opportunities and innovative ideas led him to the foundation of Adtej, a company producing health-centric food products. He highlighted one of Adtej’s key products, flaxseed laddoos, rich in Omega-3.
2nd Topic of the Session (Building a Product and Business Strategy)
Mr. Amarnath emphasized that successful products require continuous development. He provided insight into the challenges Adtej faced in perfecting their multigrain laddoo. He also emphasized the value of continuous product refinement, encouraging entrepreneurs to remain committed to innovation and quality improvement as key drivers of long-term
success.
3rd Topic of the Session (A Lesson of Promotion)
The speaker then turned to Unilever’s origin story, founded by two brothers. He recounted how the brand strategically promoted its product by the trade name “Sunlight” through advertisements on trains in England, which helped them gain recognition. This story served as an illustration of the importance of promotion in the early stages of a business.
Q&A Session
During the Q&A session, Mr. Amarnath addressed questions on the necessary licenses for starting a business venture, explaining that a FSSAI license, GST registration, and a business bank account are crucial.
