On February 8th Wednesday 2012, the First year students (F.Y.F.M.) of Financial Markets headed by their class teacher Mrs. Nisha Rapheal visited Jeevan Jyothi Charitable Trust, Panvel, a trust which takes care of street children and their education. Our students donated School bags, Tiffin boxes and Notebooks to these children. They distributed snacks and entertained these children by conducting various cultural programme’s and organizing games for them.
Maintaining its promise made during the last community service day, the Pillai Group of Institutions organized their second CSD on 1st February, 2012. We hosted elderly inhabitants of “Rajeev Rajan Adhar Garh and Ramkrishna Niketan” from Shantivan, Panvel and destitute children from “Jeevan Jyothi Charitable Trust” Panvel. A cultural extravaganza was hosted by the students of different institutes. A large number of participants were from PCACS. The beneficiaries of the day savored the music and performances and were so enthused that they came with performances from their end too. The dance by the children from JJCT was loved by all. The visitors were treated for a delicious lunch. A medical checkup camp (asthma and sugar) in association of Cipla Respiratory and a blood donation drive in association with Shree Sai Blood Bank, Panvel were conducted on the same day.
Third year students (T.Y.F.M.) of Financial Markets, along with their class teacher, Mrs. Jennie Prajith, visited Rotary school for Deaf students at New Panvel on Tuesday 17th January, 2012 and distributed 121 long note books and drawings books handmade from left out pages from used books. Pens, pencils and chocolates were also distributed to students.

The Mathematics and Statistics Association organized Mathematics class for school children on 7th January, 2012. Miss Sindhu K. Nair of S.Y.I.T. taught how to find “Perimeter of Square and Rectangle” to the fourth standard students of Karnala sports Academy’s Barns High School and Junior College, Panvel.

As a fund raiser for the community service cause, a talent hunt show: ‘Uber Rang’ was organized, where students of different campuses of Pillai Group of Institutions competed for trophies. The event was a huge success and well received by the staff members and students, who turned up in large numbers. The best talent trophy at college level was won by students from PCACS.
Students have collected Amount of Rs.10 and purchased school bags and weight machine and donated at Zilla Parishad Primary School at Nandgaon, Khatkarwadi.
B.M.S. and Management Association Students visited an Orphanage “Home for Sweet Children, Kalamboli” and donated Rs. 1,000 in cash and also provided food to them on 14th November, 2011, it was named as “Muskaan”.
“Avoid Crackers Movement” was conducted on the day of Diwali by burning Candles on 26th October, 2011.
Light of Joy: An event conducted at the auspicious occasion of Diwali to light a candle to represent joy, love and brotherhood and to say “no” to pollution by members of Management Association at our college campus.
