The PCACS Training and Placement Cell held a training session for candidates prior to the Accenture Interview from 20th October to 22nd October. Mr. D. Vishwajeet from Campus Credentials led the Training Program for “How to prepare yourself for an Aptitude Test” on 16th October, 2022 & 17th October, 2022. Mrs. Surekha Padmaraj led the training session from 20th October, 2022 to 22nd October, 2022 and lasted one hour each from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The topics covered on the first day i.e. 20th October, 2022 were how to present yourself in an interview, answering the most frequently asked questions, and body language; the number of candidates who attended was sixty-five.
The second day i.e. 21st October, 2022 covered resume writing and building a LinkedIn profile, with thirty-five candidates in attendance.
On the third day i.e. 22nd October, 2022 the trainer covered the topic Group Discussion and how to present their points. The number of candidates who attended was seventeen.
The candidates were well-trained, and the training was properly carried out covering all required topics.
The PCACS Training and Placement Cell held a training session for candidates prior to the Deloitte Interview on 8th October, 2022. The training session was conducted by Mrs. Surekha Padmaraj and lasted an hour from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The trainer went through topics like how to act in an interview, how to respond to frequently asked questions, body language, resume writing, and how to construct a LinkedIn profile, Sentence building, Story Retelling, open questions, Business Proficiency Test comprising of Financial Accounting, Logical Reasoning and Excel Questions. The session had thirty candidates present.
The preparation for the interview was successfully accomplished through the training.

Mrs. Surekha Padmaraj led the training session, which lasted three days from 20th September, 2022 to 22nd September, 2022 and lasted one hour each from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.
The topics covered on the first day i.e. 20th September, 2022 were how to present yourself in an interview, answering the most frequently asked questions, and body language; the number of candidates who attended was two.
The second day i.e. 21st September, 2022 covered resume writing and LinkedIn profile, with three candidates in attendance.
On the third day i.e. 22nd September, 2022 the trainer covered the topic Group Discussion and how to present their points. The number of candidates who attended was two.

The Pre- Placement Training program was organized by the Placement Cell of Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science, in association with Skyline HR Solution (Govt. Recognized) for TY and PG Final Year Students through blended mode. This 30-hour quality enrichment program on personality development was for all streams to train them for any interview and the corporate world by enhancing their soft skills. 102 students participated in this training program from all the streams. The time duration of training program was of 30 hours on “Personality Development” which started on 8th August, 2022 under the guidance of Trainer Mrs. Poonam Kawale.
The training was conducted in both online and offline mode, where Mrs. Poonam Kawale helped our students to get trained for any interview and corporate world with soft skills. Topics like Personality Development, Public Speaking, Communication skills, Written Communication, Social and Office Etiquettes, Pre-interview Training, Interview Skills and many more were covered during the training.
During the training Mrs. Poonam Kawale helped many students with their doubts, confusions and she provided them with the best solutions. Along with all the above-mentioned topics, topics like self-awareness, Time Management and Area of Improvement were covered during the training. Assignments like Presentations, Letter Writing, Email writing were assigned to the students to make them more confident and for their improvement.
Two offline sessions were conducted, in offline sessions topics like Body language, Interview questions, (What to say and what not to say in interview), and resume building were discussed among students. On day two of offline sessions Mock interview was conducted for students to experience the interview process.
The training helped students by improving their knowledge and skills, it helped them gain more confidence and helped them to gain exposure for their future employment.
The Training and Placement Cell of Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science (Autonomous) organized an Industry Academia Conclave on 16th July, 2022 At Dr. K.M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus, New Panvel.
This session was organized to provide a platform for the placement team and members of the Board of Studies to interact with experts on the emerging industry trends to keep pace with advancing industry and technology. It was presided over by the Vice- Principal Prof. Deepika Sharma. She spoke about the College’s achievements since its inception. There were 15 delegates and 7 of them were the keynote speakers. The IQAC Co- ordinator, Dr. Aarti Sukheja briefed on the various courses and certificate courses offered at PCACS. The Training and Placement Officer, Mr. Gopakumar Pillai gave the opening remarks and elaborated on the objectives of the conclave in bridging Industry academia gap. Key note speakers of each domain shared their expertise. Mr. Anant Baddi – Security Solution Architect, Google cloud spoke on developments in IT sector with emphasis on cloud security and skill sets required by students to be successfully placed. Mr. Jeetandar Peswani, Financial Educator & Consultant gave insights on requirements for career in finance sector. Mr. Dheeraj Kumar Singh – Cluster Head, Uponly Technologies insisted on students to focus more on developing proper attitude and soft skills. Mr. Naveen Bhat –CFO, NextG Apex India Pvt. Ltd. spoke on practical learning to solve real corporate issues and use of various trending tools in commerce sector, start networking on LinkedIn. Mr. Prathmesh S Rane – CEO, Markit Official spoke on the importance of developing one’s skills. Mr. Rohit Ramchandran – Deputy Manager, Reliance Life Sciences spoke on emphasizing on right attitude and soft skill development and precise areas of Biotechnology to focus upon. Mr. Ankit Pingale – Research Analyst Morning Star said that the focus should be on the ways in which data needs to be processed.
After the key note session, coordinators of each stream interacted with the delegates of their stream and suggestions were taken on technical and non- technical skill sets required in students for successful placement in reputed companies. Valuable inputs gathered from experts will be implemented in the academic system for student upskilling. Lastly, the Co- coordinators felicitated the industry delegates with memento and goodies and the session was concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Incharge of DSDE, Dr. Kavita Kathare.
