Department of I.T. and C.S. in association with Campus Credential, organized a One Day Faculty Development Programme on “Data Analytics” on 11th November, 2017. Mr. Divya Jotwani, Client Technical Support, IBM Systems was the resource person for this session.
The Alumni Meet was the first event of its kind to be conducted by the Department of I.T. and C.S. Alumni from Batch 1 i.e. 2001-2004 onwards were in attendance for this one-of-a-kind reunion. Around 200 alumni attended the event.
The event included the Prize Distribution Ceremony of various Computer Association events, BITFEST events and Best Student of Department. Winners of the events were felicitated by alumni.
The Department felicitated Mr. Pushpendu Rakshit with “Alumni Achiever Award 2017” for his outstanding achievements in his field of work.
The Department of I.T. and C.S. organized a One Day Workshop on “Automated Software Testing” on 1st October, 2016. Resource person for the workshop was Mr. Bishal Bose – Software Test Engineer, L&T Infotech.

The workshop provided a platform to participants to get hands on practice of automated tool in software testing.
The workshop was very informative and thought-provoking. It gave insight on testing and its applications.
Department of I.T. and C.S. organized an Expert Guidance Session for T.Y.B.Sc. (Computer Science) students on 21st September, 2016. Resource person for the guidance session was Mr. Vipul Saluja (M.Phil., M.Sc.) from R. D. National College, Bandra. He is member of B.Sc. (C.S.) syllabus committee of University of Mumbai.

Ms. Pooja Pandey, a faculty member of the Department of I.T. & C.S, has submitted the paper “Sentiment classification in Hindi by using a Hindisentiwordnet (HSWN)”, which has been approved and presented for publication in the sixth International Conference on
Computational Intelligence and Information Technology, CIIT 2016, which is organized by the Association of Computer, Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineers (ACEECom) – a Division of the IDES.

The Department of I.T. and C.S. Announces Faculty Development Programme on “Java Programming” in association with “Oracle University” from 28th March, 2016 to 2nd April, 2016.
The Department of I.T. and C.S. organized an Industrial Visit to Wipro Technologies, Pune on 23rd February, 2016. 135 students and 3 faculty members visited the company. There a seminar was organized for the students about the latest technologies they are using and their forthcoming projects.
The proud moment was when our ALUMNI working with WIPRO shared their experiences and discussed about MS Progamme and WIPRO Training.
